The Houston Executive Director of the Tahirih Justice Center, Anne Chandler, spoke with The Texas Tribune about accounts of migrant parents who say they have been offered reunification with their children in return for signing deportation papers.
“…both Chandler and Cynthia Milian, a private attorney working with Tahirih, questioned whether the offers that the immigrants have reported receiving could be honored by the government, given the sprawling and slow-moving nature of the nation’s immigration bureaucracy.”
