Tahirih Atlanta Executive Director, Shana Tabak, was featured on HLN sharing the story of our client, Vilma Carrillo Carrillo.
Vilma came to the U.S. seeking asylum from horrific domestic violence at the hands of her daughter’s father. She fled to the southern border with her 11 year old daughter in May 2018, during the implementation of the administration’s “zero-tolerance” policy. Vilma and Yeisvi were separated, and still have not been reunited.
