New York Governor Signs Law to Protect Children from Forced Marriage and Other Lifelong Harm
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law a bill to reform minimum marriage age laws to raise the age “floor” to 17 and put in judicial safeguards against forced marriage. Tahirih was honored to attend the bill signing in Albany.
