Governor Chris Sununu has signed SB 359 into law raising the legal age of marriage to 18 without exceptions in New Hampshire, making it the 13th state to end child marriage.

On June 12, 2024, the Tahirih Justice Center and 46 national, statewide, and local organizations dedicated to supporting survivors of gender-based violence submitted a formal comment in response to the proposed rule by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
