- Historic opportunity. We are facing the greatest refugee crisis since WWII, what better time to show vulnerable communities the true nature of American hospitality?
- Justice. Without a Tahirih attorney, a woman or girl has only a 16% chance of winning asylum. With Tahirih, her chances soar to 99%.
- Protection. 70-80% of young girls who flee war-level violence in Central America and seek refuge in the United States are raped along the way. We must build a world which offers each woman and girl support and protection from harm, and we can start right here at home.
- Freedom. Because every woman and girl like Diana deserves to live in safety and with dignity, to have the freedom to dream big, and achieve. Tahirih opens to the door to a safe haven for each of them.
