The Catalogue for Philanthropy has designated Tahirih Justice Center as “one of the best small charities in the Washington, D.C. region.”
The award is a reflection of Tahirih’s record of efficiency, excellence, good governance, ethics, and fiscal responsibility. Tahirih was selected for the honor from a field of more than 200 organizations.
The Catalogue for Philanthropy vets, educates, and empowers its featured charities and charitable givers. On its website, it describes its mission as taking the “guesswork out of giving by identifying the best community-based charities in Washington D.C. and nearby Maryland and Virginia.”
