Tahirih staff will provide information about resources for victims of human trafficking and other crimes
Tahirih Baltimore is joining forces with a team of Maryland-based partners to provide free information sessions and consultations for immigrants with questions about their rights in the workplace.
The informational event, “Respect for Working People!,” will be held from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Patterson High School in Baltimore, Md.
“Our team is proud to act as a resource during this event in Baltimore, and find new ways to reach courageous survivors of labor trafficking and other forms of abuse,” said Morgan Weibel, Supervising Immigration Staff Attorney at Tahirih Baltimore.
“Respect for Working People!” is made possible by the Maryland Attorneys Working Against Labor Trafficking, Maryland State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy, Latino Providers Network, CASA de Maryland, Esperanza Center Immigration Legal Services, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, and Planet Depos.
