The Tahirih Justice Center’s Executive Director of the Houston office, Anne Chandler, was interviewed by Foreign Policy’s The Editor’s Roundtable podcast about heartbreaking stories of family separation at the border.
Chandler witnessed asylum seekers shackled and separated from their children under the pretense that they were sending their children for baths.
“I am very terrified that many of the parents that I have visited with here in Houston detention center are on a pathway of being removed without their children.” said Chandler.
