Kimberly Mariano

Kimberly Mariano joined Tahirih in 2024. As a fellow, Kim advocates for unaccompanied minors who are survivors of gender-based violence, strengthening Tahirih’s mission of providing interdisciplinary legal services.

Prior to joining Tahirih, Kim represented a family in an individual hearing before the Baltimore Immigration Court as a student attorney for the University of Baltimore School of Law’s Immigrant Rights Clinic. During law school, she also interned at the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC), where she conducted legal research on child protection issues, specifically child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Kim assisted in editing ICMEC’s 10th Edition of Child Sexual Abuse Material: Model Legislation & Global Review.

“I am inspired by Tahirih’s commitment to providing accessible legal counsel and comprehensive social services to ensure that survivors of gender-based violence are safe and equipped with the resources to live a dignified life.”
