The Tahirih Justice Center submitted comments opposing the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development’s proposed rule that prohibits mixed-status families from accessing housing assistance. The new rule would disproportionately harm survivors of gender-based violence who rely on affordable housing for their basic safety and survival. Tahirih urges the Department of Housing & Urban Development to withdraw this rule and restore policies that promote the stability and well-being of immigrant survivors of violence.
