An inspiring video about the courage of Tahirih’s clients is the recipient of a bronze Telly Award.

The Center for Nonprofit Advancement recognized Tahirih as the winner of the prestigious Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management.

Layli Miller-Muro, Tahirih’s Founder and Executive Director, was awarded the Peter Cicchino Award for Outstanding Advocacy in the Public Interest for her efforts to advocate on behalf of immigrant women and girls fleeing gender-based violence.

Tahirih Justice Center has been selected as one of five finalists for the prestigious 2007 Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management.

The mission of Equal Justice Works is to create a just society by mobilizing the next generation of lawyers committed to equal justice.

Tahirih recently received the highly competitive New Voices Fellowship, which is funded by the Ford Foundation and administered by the Academy for Educational Development.
